Orientation is Too Much Fun!- not

For the last 3 days, we have done nothing, but team building sessions and seminars about college life and physical & mental health, and book discussions. But some of them were actually interesting. Thursday, we got to school at 6:15 and were unpacked by 9 am. It was not easy fixing the beds and making everything where we wanted it. We were so red afterwards between crying and sweating. After we go done we were bored so we waited until 10:30 for our room mate to move in. She brought a boatload of stuff. More stuff them us combined. But she seemed nice and her mom helped her move in. We had to leave for lunch and on our way to lunch, they had a lot of tables set up from businesses in the community. We got a sample of the McCafes and they were really good! Of course Cathy didn't like them, but I had hers too. After lunch we went to the class photo and met our orientation leader and group. We played those introduction games which I don't like, but it got worse. We sat in the grass for 1 1/2 hours and got a little sunburnt. Then we went to dinner and had a floor meeting. That was it for the night. We were so tired!

The next day was convocation and the book discussion for the summer reading. It wasn't really fun. The academic open house after was kinda interesting because we saw the different profs and what they specialized in. During lunch, we had a picnic and had the subject of the summer reading sign our books which was pretty cool. After lunch was suppose to be 3 more sessions, but it was only one for us. Instead of going to the 2nd & 3rd session, we left and went to Target. It's crazy how many little things we forgot. We dropped Mommy's car off and waited for her to get off work. Then, dinner. At 9pm we went to GUC After Dark, which was really fun. We got free Rita's ice and entered in a raffle. We also played bingo 3 times but didn't win anything :( But we met tons of new people and relaxed on a leather couch in the lounge. We went back to the dorm after 11pm. And we were out!

Today, we got up bright and early to see more seminars and sessions! YAY! The first sessions was really neat. It was our R.A.'s doing skits about college life. We went to lunch after the 2nd session and waited for 2 hours to take a survey...talk about a fun time. Two more sessions and we were done for the day. One thing about college is that people are a lot more free with the cussing. We went back to the dorm until 7pm when we saw the magician/comedian, Justin Kredible. It was HILARIOUS!!!! It was so much fun! Hopefully tomorrow will be just as fun since we don't have too many mandatory sessions.
